Online Video has been around for a long time, but according to Piers Morgan it is something we should be utilizing to get noticed online. He also talks about Millennials. Millennials have been a big mystery for many (at least that is what the media tells us). But, an online magazine he is working with seems to have captured their attention.

Piers Morgan explains why DailyMail.com has such a huge following. He says everyday it serves up:

[su_list icon=”icon: arrow-right”]

  • 1,200 stories
  • 10,000 images
  • 650 videos

It is very popular with Millennials. One in every 2 Millennials follow this daily feed. The reason is it covers everything and there is no snobbery. Its strong point is that it covers everything; politics to celebrities.

Online Video

The biggest upcoming medium is online video:

Over 500% up which is expected to double or triple in the next few years.

Piers says:

“If you own the content, if you own and create the video, then that is where you can really grow revenue.”

What I’m taking away from all this is that I need to make a big effort to produce video’s as part of my regular social media feed. I will be looking at new ways of doing this and report on it in the upcoming months. Let’s get in front of the new media rather than trying to catch up later.
